Muszę stwierdzić, że wymagania sprzętowe ma niewąskie. Nawet te minimalne.

Projekt niby [uwalony](https://m.vk.com/wall-15844953_706167) za złamanie praw autorskich, skasowany z moddb, github.

Albo za to, że przeniesienie gry na inny silnik albo dodatkowo można by sobie domyśleć, że GSC może gdzieś kiedyś w przyszłości po wyjściu Stalkera 2 samo kombinować nad zrobieniem remake-ów i pasuje się zabezpieczać na taką ewentualność.

Wersja z Gunslingerem jest dostępna tylko dla subskrybentów projektu na Boosty. Wszystkie pomniejsze i dodatkowe aktualizacje będą tam publikowane, ale główne wersje zostaną udostępnione dla wszystkich.

Garść świeżych informacji od autorów:

- Dogłębna refaktoryzacja kodu w celu poprawy wydajności i jakości portu, a także naprawa wcześniejszych błędów;
- Ulepszone oświetlenie;
- Rozszerzony zestaw narzędzi i nowe funkcje dla deweloperów zewnętrznych, którzy zdecydują się wykorzystać port w swoich projektach;
- Przeniesienie dźwięków do silnika Unreal Engine: wszystkie efekty dźwiękowe zostały przeniesione do silnika Unreal Engine, a interfejs kontroli pogody został zaimplementowany;
- Własny Launcher będzie wkrótce dostępny, aby ułatwić instalację projektu;
- Przygotowywane są samouczki wideo i artykuły na temat pracy z platformą, aby pomóc początkującym modderom;
- W najbliższym czasie kontynuowane będą prace nad całą trylogią S.T.A.L.K.E.R. na platformie Unreal Engine 5.

Postanowiłem pograć w modyfikację czy już, w tym momencie, osobną platformę. Chciałem się dowiedzieć, czy faktycznie da radę ukończyć grę, jak twierdzą twórcy; o dziwo, udało się…

Grę zaczynamy w tym samym momencie co Cień Czarnobyla. Rozmawiamy z Sidorowiczem, okna dialogowe i interakcja są identyczne jak w oryginale. Wyszedłem na zewnątrz, porozglądałem się po wiosce kotów. Uwagę głównie zwracałem na oprawę i wytrzymałość mojego sprzętu, bo raczej o to chodzi w tego typu projektach. Z kartą RTX 3070, i5-11400F i 32GB RAMu na pokładzie, gra wyciskała 40-50 klatek na sekundę. Przede wszystkim wzrok przyciąga lepsze oświetlenie i śledzenie promieni. Najlepiej widoczne jest to w lokacjach podziemnych. Przez cały okres grania w ogóle ciężko uwierzyć, że to wszystko jest na innym silniku. Fizyka, zachowanie otoczenia, animacje sztucznej inteligencji są wręcz identyczne do oryginału. Największym usprawnieniem po przejściu na inną platformę to czasy ładowania. Liczyłem przejścia z lokacji i zajmują one **dosłownie od 3 do 4 sekund,** nigdy więcej niż 5. Z miłych zaskoczeń jest również brak jakichkolwiek wylotów do pulpitu. Gra jest bardzo stabilna i nie miałem żadnych problemów od rozpoczęcia do przejścia gry.  
Na razie istotnym problemem jest praca sztucznej inteligencji. Stalkerzy czasami są kompletnie ślepi i nie widzą nas w ogóle, nie potrafią flankować i mają bardzo nieracjonalne zachowanie podczas walk, kiedy innym razem zestrzelą cię z precyzją cyborga. Kolejnym mankamentem jest słaba praca latarki, gdzie logika sztucznej inteligencji, w otoczeniu w którym my nic nie widzimy, strzela do nas bez pudła. W lokacji pod Radarem i w bazie monolitu niemiłosiernie ten fakt przeszkadza.  
Niestwierdzonym problemem jest brak przerywników filmowych. Nie jestem jednak pewien, czy problem występował po mojej stronie czy jest to problem obecnego builda.  
Śledzenie promieni, tam gdzie najbardziej widoczne, robi wyśmienitą robotę. Najlepiej widoczne jest to w odbiciu wody, na kamuflażu pijawki i oświetleniach w podziemiach. W niektórych miejscach widać jednak, że go brakuje. Dostrzec można, że na ten moment śledzenie promieni z oświetlenia naturalnego raczej nie działa, tak jak należy lub nie ma go w ogóle.

**Najważniejsze chyba pytanie, to czy w ogóle warto spróbować?**  
Jeżeli ktoś po prostu chce albo nie chce ogrywać Cień Czarnobyla, to na ten moment nie ma czego szukać. Jest to bardziej mod technologiczny aniżeli konretne wykorzystanie możliwości przeniesienia Cienia Czarnobyla na Unreal Engine 5, aby móc to nazwać pełnoprawnym demem technologicznym.  
Jeżeli kogoś natomiast (tak jak mnie) bardzo interesują nowinki technologiczne, różnego rodzaju eksperymenty z silnikami do gier lub ciekawych podejść do modyfikacji gier, to jest to zdecydowanie pozycja warta uwagi. Trzeba pamiętać jednak, że do tego typu zabaw potrzebna jest bardzo mocna maszyna.

Najważniejsze, jak uznaję, to podzielenie się screenami. Tych nawrzucałem dość sporo, więc każdą lokację umieściłem w osobnych spoilerach:

@vidkunsen Z tego co zrozumiałem, silnik UE5 zaciąga pliki z oryginalnej gry. Oryginał jest wymagany na dysku, inaczej nie zagramy. Co zaskakuje, to to, że katalog plików wygląda podobnie do oryginału. W teorii sądzę, że da radę już nawet teraz uruchomić mody, które nie ingerują w obecną budowę silnika. W tym przypadku może starsze mody, typu Priboi Story, AMK, itp.

Sam VR nie uważam za zły. Są ciekawe gry na tę platformę, które wciągają (chociażby w naszej sferze dyskusji “Stalkerowy” Into the Radius, który zebrał bardzo dobre noty od użytkowników). Są jeszcze pewne ograniczenia technologiczne i problemy psychoruchowe (problemy z błędnikiem), ale osobiście sądzę, że jest to platforma z potencjałem i już ucementowaną przyszłością. Wracając jednak do sedna dyskusji, czyli moda VR, w stanie w jakim jest obecnie, z pewnością może dość szybko spowodować ból głowy i mdłości. Luźno latający interfejs wydaje się być największym problemem, dziwne działanie celownika również. Wygląda, jakby nie był przystosowany do ruchu naszej głowy podczas gry. Ciekawy eksperyment, ale bez przystosowania samych mechanik STALKERa do VR, czyli dogłębnych modyfikacji rozgrywki, na pewno nie chciałbym w to zagrać. Zakładam, że w przyszłości mod zostanie usprawniony do akceptowalnego poziomu.

A więc koniec. Red Panda - główny koordynator projektu - ogłosił zakończenie dalszych prac. Modder twierdzi, że nie chce dłużej promować platformy od takiego wydawcy jak GSC Game World.

Na koniec obiecał wspomóc ekipę IXRAY, która aktualnie pracuje nad ulepszonym silnikiem Zewu Prypeci, ale po wszystkim zamierza się odciąć od Stalkera. Jednocześnie zamierza pozostawić to, co udało mu się do tej pory osiągnąć - wszelkie linki, materiały i zasoby związane z jego głównym projektem. Przypomnijmy, że w obecnej chwili do pobrania dostępna jest prawie kompletna adaptacja Cienia Czarnobyla na silniku Unreal Engine 5.
